McQUEEN, JUNE DAWN: passed away on February 14, 2013 in Penticton, BC at the age of 80 years. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. June was born June 5, 1932 in Bethany, Manitoba. She is remembered by her loving husband, of 38 years, Mack, 5 children: David (Patty) Hopkins, Terry Vellan, Bruce Hopkins, Linda Csati, Brenda Routley, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by son, Wayne Hopkins, granddaughter, Terra Dawn Csati, son, Rob Hopkins, sisters; Dorothy, Evlyn, Hazel, brothers, Ted, Ron & Harold. Mom, the earth mother, really represented what a mother should be. Always with a smile, she did her best to guide her loved ones through good times and bad. She will be dearly missed. When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared Miss me - but let me go. For this is the journey that we all must take And each must go alone It's all a part of the Master's plan A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart Go to the fiends we know And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds Miss me but let me go.
