BOWEN, EDITH (EDIE) nee Thiessen November 19, 1935 - January 2, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Edith, on January 2, 2013 at Penticton Regional Hospital; but are comforted in the knowledge that she has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour. Edith was born in Winnipeg, married and moved to California, but returned to Canada to celebrate her retirement. She thought the Okanagan Valley was the most beautiful place she'd ever seen. She loved gardening, bridge, fishing, good conversation and laughter. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Jackie Bolduc; son, David (Anita) Bolduc; two grandsons, Christopher and Stephen Bolduc, and four sisters, Ada Cass, Susan Schmidke, Amy Merritt and Gloria Miller. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Clarence Bowen. A Celebration of her Life will be held Monday, January 14, 2013, 3:00 p.m. at Everden Rust Funeral Chapel (1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton).
