JOHNSTON, Harold Robert Sept. 26, 1913 - Jan. 19, 2013 Harold passed away peacefully at the age of 99. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Arlene (95), son Terry and his wife Gillian, granddaughter Valerie and husband Dori, grandson Michael and wife Sheri, great- grandchildren Jessica Dennison and fiance Phill Screeton, Liam Dennison and Emily and Ethan Johnston as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by daughter Marjorie. Harold was born in Dauphin, Manitoba and lived in Kelowna for 50 years, 1948-1998 before moving to Ladner and Surrey. As a World War II veteran he served in the Army Engineer Unit and was the best husband, father and grandfather anyone could wish for. He had a full life and will be missed by all he touched. The family would like to thank the excellent staff at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village and Dr. John O'Brien for caring so much about Harold.
